Winter craft camp

Tomorrow I start 4 days of teaching winter craft camp at Spruill. Not Christmas camp mind you because this is in Dunwoody and 90% of Dunwoodians are of one the 12 tribes of Isreal. I'm just saying.
I've started making a collection of arts and crafts projects. Lots are for kids. Some are for beginning students be they adults or kiddies. A few are good projects for anyone wanting to improve their art. I'd like to start posting them. Maybe on my website I'll make a section for art ideas, but I don't want my painting website to wind up like a mommy craft site. Hmmm... Pre-haps a different site altogether.
It's one week till Christmas and I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I was thinking it might be a train, but now I think it might be a string of Christmas lights.
I"m off to look into a 'how to' arts fartsy website.

Control Z

While I am sure that you have been RIVITTED by Torrit Grey and all, it's time for a new entry. Thanks in part to the nagging of certain people who shall remain nameless (Voldemort AND Liz).
What's up the in the world of art? Well, I've gone back to grad school and while I was pretty sure that I would regularly update with what I was working on, I was lucky to have time to shower, so my blog has suffered.
Today finds me trying to rewrite my Statement of Purpose so that I can change my major at SCAD. Ah, the good old days of undergrad when you could decide on Monday to change your major, run out into the quad in your jammies and declare "i'm a poly psy major' and get on with your day. Not so in grad school. I basically have to reapply. A new Statement of Purpose, a new resume, a new portfolio. Jeezy Creezy!
I wish that I could just re-turn in all of the old stuff I already turned in with a subtle dubbing, like network television does with profanity.
You are a son of a"POOPHEAD" . I could just dub the important changes. But noooo.
I do find that I am being spoiled by working mainly on the computer these days. When we got the DVR, I found myself wanting to pause the radio, to rewind when people were talking. On the compter, when you screw up royal, you can almost always hit CTRL Z and undo. I was painting the other day, actually real oil painting with a brush on canvas...how quaint. I smooged (<---real art term...look it up) a bit of dark paint in a place it didnt belong and for a split second, I was like "oh shit...z...z...Z damn it". alas. didnt work.
Wouldnt it be nice if we could have a muligen in life like Ctrl Z? Marry the wrong guy (and who hasnt? you can just Ctrl Z that bastard right out of your hair! OR, you could eat a crap ton of cake and then...Ctrl Z...calories gone. Sure would be nice. Auto insurance would be a thing of the past. Fender bender? Ctrl Z. no more.
Alas...tis not to be. I had to wipe off the wrong paint and carefully fix the spot. Took me a long time to find the RIGHT husband and there's still a dent in car door.
I guess it's time to get back to work now. unless I can get this time back with a trusty key stroke....
...
Ctrl...
Z...
...damn. Guess not.
